Over 4,800 boy scouts and adult leaders all over the Province gathered in Brgy. Alion, Mariveles for the four-day 30th Bataan Council Scout Jamboree last April 3 to 6, where the scouts underwent a myriad of trainings and activities, showcasing their abilities and strengthening camaraderie, anchored on this year’s theme, “Sustaining Growth.”

From tree-planting initiatives and nature hikes, to building camp tents and participating in various physical activities, the scouts embraced the opportunity to connect with nature while honing valuable life skills.

During the kick-off ceremony last April 3, the scouts were encouraged to use their skills and learnings on their shared responsibility of creating positive change within their communities and promoting environment awareness.

Gracing said ceremony were Board Member Popoy del Rosario, Acting Mayor Angelito Rubia, Acting Vice Mayor Hon. Ronald Arcenal, Sangguniang Bayan members, Punong Barangays of Mariveles headed by ABC President Al Balan, Balanga City Council Scout Commissioner Roland Fronda, and Engr. Emerson Bautista representing Pusong Pinoy Partylist Cong. Jett Nisay.
